08/25/2015

Paris, Addis Ababa, 2015-08-25. Supported by the international Microsoft ERP partner COSMO CONSULT, in particular by the experts of its French office, in Bedele the last of several Ethiopian subsidiaries of world’s third largest brewery has put its new ERP system into operation. After the successful go-lives in Harar and the capital Addis Ababa, Bedele now complements the countrywide ERP implementation with a shared business solution that integrates all subsidiaries and production sites.

The first system processed truck which left the site of Bedele brewery at 9 a.m. local time on August 3rd set the start of a big celebration: all project members, regional managers, key users, representatives of the headquarters and other sites throughout the country, as well as the COSMO CONSULT fellows who accompanied the project on site, came together to celebrate the successful go-live of the new system. With launching the Bedele environment, a very important goal has been achieved, as from now on all Ethiopian locations are working with a conjoint business solution.

The authorities of the brewery’s business group find the successful project work a “great example of teamwork, dedication, discipline and the right spirit.” In brewery business, Africa is rated as one of the fastest growing markets in the world. Having provided all production and distribution sites with a modern and integrated ERP environment, the conditions are best set for the long-established breweries in Bedele and Harar to efficiently manage their production and keep pace with upcoming market requirements.

“We congratulate the employees in Bedele who deserve to be proud of their brewery and of what they have achieved during the last months of modernizing their company,” says Uwe Bergmann, chairman of the COSMO CONSULT AG. “And we are happy with our French colleagues and proud of them, too, as they have provided an important contribution for the renowned Ethiopian breweries, looking into a bright and successful future.”
