A comprehensive self-analysis is generally seen as the best starting point for digital transformation. The COSMO CONSULT Group, experts in going digital, is now offering its digital maturity test in an expanded format with scientific monitoring. In late June it signed a cooperation agreement with the Fraunhofer Center for Applied Research on Supply Chain Services SCS in Nuremberg. Both Medium-sized and large companies can benefit from an even more precise evaluation procedure and an even more well-grounded assessment. They will be able to get more detailed insights into the various areas of their companies.

For many medium-sized companies, question marks line the path to digital transformation: Which strategy is the right one? What's the best way to get started? Aren’t we already doing enough in the area of digital? For that reason, the COSMO CONSULT Group, which specializes in digital transformation, always starts its projects with a comprehensive company analysis: the digital maturity test. Key actors are interviewed using a standardized questionnaire. Based on the results, the individual level of maturity is determined and then the company is evaluated both as a whole and in terms of individual areas. "It makes sense to do the maturity test because subjective assessments often do not correspond to reality, and because there are very different levels of awareness of the issues involved in digital transformation," explains Saskia Burns, Director of Business Consulting at COSMO CONSULT. The results of the digital maturity check are an ideal basis for consulting services to develop a detailed roadmap for digital transformation.

Scientific monitoring for even more accurate results

Starting now, companies can have scientific monitoring when they do their digital maturity test. In late June, COSMO CONSULT signed a corresponding cooperation agreement with Nuremberg-based Fraunhofer SCS . "Digital transformation is a great opportunity for companies, but it also presents many challenges: Only if you know your own level of digital maturity can you start down the path with confidence. In cooperation with COSMO CONSULT, Fraunhofer SCS can provide a proven, scientifically sound methodology," says Professor  Dr. Alexander Pflaum,  Chair of Business Administration for SCM at the Otto-Friedrich-University Bamberg and head of the Fraunhofer Center for Applied Research on Supply Chain Services SCS. The main target group is medium-sized and large manufacturing companies. They can benefit from the scientific assessment procedure and an even more well-grounded evaluation of the results. "The great amount of added value generated by the combination of Fraunhofer SCS's methodological know-how and COSMO CONSULT's practical experience and industry expertise has already been proven in the initial joint projects," says Saskia Burns. The cooperation will run for two years at first.
