Today, COSMO CONSULT developers from all over Europe met at the Dresden location for an exchange of experiences in Cloud, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) and Dynamics 365 Business Central. Even experts from the Microsoft Development Center in Denmark have announced their visit.
Developers of the ERP system Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central have marked above all two dates in the annual event calendar: the spring and case releases to the new updates. Microsoft promised some "technical delicacies" for the upcoming date in autumn. "The decisive question is: how do we lift our customers and interested parties into the cloud?" explains Gerrit Schiller, COO of the COSMO CONSULT Group.
From programming to process optimization
The agenda of the developer meeting is closely timed. In addition to the question of how corporate solutions will be used in the future, operational topics such as the Microsoft AL programming language and how customer requirements can be implemented more efficiently in the future will also be on the agenda. In special workshops, the developers want to promote the international exchange of experience on customer projects, build up knowledge on the new development environment (VS Code) or exchange process know-how in dealing with Business Central. "It's about much more than ERP, because Business Central will in future be the core application of an integrated cloud solution that is based on a common data model with Office 365 and other apps," emphasizes Schiller.
Microsoft developers spontaneously knocked on the door
The experts from the Danish Microsoft Development Center became aware of the event via various LinkedIn posts from Dresden tech evangelist Michael Megel. "We were very pleased about the interest, because normally we are the ones who ask for an audience", emphasizes Megel. COSMO CONSULT is Microsoft and Dynamics NAV partner of many years and works since the introduction of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central two years ago with the product development closely with Microsoft together. The Microsoft-Developer might enrich the developer meeting therefore with their know-how and contributions to new technologies like Docker, Git or Testautomation. "We have the opportunity to rethink things, to redesign the development process with Business Central, to become more efficient and to take a step into the future. I am looking forward to intensive discussions," says initiator Michael Megel.
