COSMO CONSULT has successfully implemented LS NAV for Mendola Pro. LS NAV is an all-in-one software solution for retail industry built on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (formerly NAV). With LS NAV, retailers get a unified commerce platform that covers all their needs and helps them manage their enterprise from front of house to back office, product replenishment to financials.

Mendola Pro is a Romanian company with headquarters in Cluj. Together with Decocenter, Unitrans Logistics, Pro Invest Parc Logistic and Unimode SRL, Mendola Pro is part of Mendola Group, and operates in the field of interior decoration and textiles selling. Mendola Pro is also known as Nobila Casa and was founded in 1999, starting as a family business.

Mendola Pro is part of Mendola Group, a business in the field of interior decoration which offers solutions in other areas, such as logistics. In 2019, Mendola Pro counted 19 locations in 16 cities of Romania. USED SOLUTION: -> LS NAV

Business challenges

The company has been using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central solution since 2006. In 2015, Mendola Pro started to use a program for store operations. It was easy to set up, but it proved to be insufficient for the company's requirements: stores reported separately, with different databases making very difficult in tracking codes and item names. This led to the need of changing the system in place.

Also, the existing program was not integrated with the ERP system, this being another reason for the need of replacing it.

Using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central for most operations (Warehouse, Acquisitions, Database, Accounting), Mendola Pro started to look for software solutions that can be integrated with this ERP system, thus analyzing the possibility of LS NAV implementation.

The Solution

The two main needs to be covered by the new system were a unified database and full control over prices and discounts.


The receipt and transfer of goods by data collection (not by manual input) were also on the company's expectations list. These new functions would have meant reducing the time allocated to these operations in stores, but also at the headquarters. LS NAV brings together in one single platform financials (the Microsoft ERP), Point of Sale (POS), store operations, supply chain management, inventory, eCommerce and customer loyalty.

Agnes Gundisch, Executive Director, Nobila Casa, states that discussions with COSMO CONSULT have started due to its partnership with LS Retail. The supplier team knew both solutions (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and LS NAV, the add-on to be implemented) and that was a clear advantage.

After establishing the details, COSMO CONSULT’s team analyzed the existing basis for developments, which required migrating to the new version. The team also analyzed the next steps regarding the stores and the connector needed to receive the information from the old system to the new one.
